ETERNAL LIFE

For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on HIM shall not perish but have eternal life.
JOHN 3:16 ASV

Introduction

It is with common sense that we understand every thing under the sun falls under perishable and non-perishable things. For every thing that has a beginning, there is also an end along as it is affected by time. Life, being the item of focus is said to come to an end or perish but the Bible points out the possibility of life not perishing, eternal life.

Eternal is an adjective that describes a thing to be without an end, existing or lasting forever (everlasting) or continuing without interruption. From the scripture above, we are enlightened on who gives eternal, how it is received, through who and to an extent why it is given.

Eternal life is given no other way, the only way is through JESUS. In John 14:6, Jesus Himself speaking stated clearly that HE is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through HIM. And every word that proceeded out of the mouth of Jesus was in accordance with GOD the Father because Jesus spoke that which HIS Father wanted Him to say while He was on earth. Jesus’ very existence on the earth created the possibility to have life more abundantly even after our flesh is dead, that is to say that the eternal life the Bible highlighted is the life of your spirit, which is obtained completely by BELIEVING. Jesus was given to us because the depth of the Father’s love for the world, every tribe, every race, every kindred, everyone was included when GOD gave HIS only begotten Son who was brought into existence by the dwelling of the Holy Spirit on Mary.

GOD did HIS part to give that which extends beyond this life, WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE? Believe!!!
Believing says you are in agreement in thought and action to the divine representative of GOD in the flesh, Jesus Christ. Believing screams “I do not see it now but I know and trust YOUR word because it never has proven to fail”. When our time is up on the earth and we have fulfilled our purpose, our flesh perishes but our Spirit is alive and lives without end, we are not condemned because we have believed in the one who gives life
